Update the plugin
Answer Desk updates appear in WordPress like those of any other plugin: on Dashboard > Updates and on the Plugins screen, with the usual Update now link. You do not need to download anything from our site.
Update
- Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins.
- Under Answer Desk, click update now when a new version is available. To read what changed first, click View version details.
Or go to Dashboard > Updates, tick Answer Desk and click Update Plugins.
Automatic updates
On Plugins > Installed Plugins, click Enable auto-updates in the Answer Desk row. WordPress then installs new versions by itself.
Is a licence needed?
No. Update checks are the same for the free version and Pro. If our update server cannot be reached, nothing happens: no warning, and the Updates screen stays as it was.
What is kept
Updating keeps your settings, keys, documents, index, conversations and licence. Only uninstalling (deleting the plugin from the Plugins screen) removes the plugin's data: settings, documents, index and conversations. Uploaded files stay in the media library. If a licence is active, uninstalling first releases it on our server, so you can activate the key on another site.
