Weight and speed modules
The Weight and speed group reduces what your database and server carry without being asked. Switch each module on from its card in WP Plus+ > Modules, set the numbers and click Save.
Limit how many revisions are kept
WordPress saves a full copy (a revision) of a post every time you save it. This module keeps only the last few for each post.

Revisions already stored are not deleted. Older ones are dropped only when you edit that content again. For a full clean-up use a database tool that makes a backup first.
Slow down the WordPress heartbeat
The heartbeat is a background call that an open WordPress admin page makes to your server, every 15 seconds by default. It powers autosave and the warning that someone else is editing the same post. On shared hosting it can use a lot of the server's resources.

Sixty seconds is a safe compromise. Much more and autosave happens less often.
Shrink oversized images on upload
A photo straight from a phone can be 4000 pixels wide and several megabytes. With this module on, a new upload whose longest side is larger than your limit is scaled down when it is uploaded, and new JPEG images are saved at your quality setting.

- The limit applies to the longest side: the width of a landscape image, the height of a portrait one. The module uses WordPress's own resizing.
- WordPress keeps the untouched original file on the server next to the scaled copy; your pages use the scaled one. This saves page weight, not disk space.
- Images already in the Media Library are not changed.
If the site sells photographs or prints, the full-size file is the product: leave this module off.
