Tools modules
The Tools group holds two things you need a few times a year: a maintenance page and a quick system summary. Switch each one on from its card in WP Plus+ > Modules.
Maintenance mode
Shows a holding page to visitors while you work on the site. Anyone logged in browses normally, and the login page stays reachable.

The default title and message follow the language of the site (they are in Italian on an Italian site) until you write your own.
- Switch the module on.
- Change Title and Message if you like (saying roughly when you will be back helps) and click Save.
- Open the site in a private (incognito) window to see what visitors see. In your normal window you are logged in, so you see the real site.
- When you have finished, click On on the card to switch maintenance mode off.
The page is sent with the 503 status code, which tells search engines to come back later instead of recording the holding page.
Maintenance mode covers the site's pages. Files served directly by the server, such as an image in the uploads folder, are still reachable at their own address.
System summary on the dashboard
Adds four lines to the At a glance box on the dashboard: the PHP version, the MySQL version, the memory limit and the maximum upload size. They are the numbers every support conversation starts with. Only administrators see them. It has no options.
If you also use Clean up the dashboard, leave At a glance unticked there, otherwise the box that holds the summary is hidden.
