Create filters and entries

Filters are the groups in the left column of the catalogue. You create them in Product Viewer > Filters: first the filter (for example Range), then its entries (the checkboxes, for example Cabinets and Counters).

Create a filter

1. Go to Product Viewer > Filters.
2. In the New filter box, type the Filter name (for example Range).
3. Choose the Type:
   • List of entries (checkboxes): for range, material, colour, field of use.
   • Number, grouped in ranges: for power, capacity, weight. You type a number on each product and the visitor chooses between ranges.
4. Tick or untick the two options (explained below).
5. Click Create filter. The message Filter created. Now add its entries. appears.

Add entries to a list filter

1. Under the filter you just created, type a name in the New entry field.
2. Click Add entry.
3. Repeat for every entry.

Each entry shows how many products use it. You can change its name with Rename or remove it with Delete.

Set the ranges of a number filter

A number filter has a text box for the ranges shown to visitors. Write one range per line, in the format from - to - label, then click Save ranges. For example:

1 - 150 - Up to 150 litres
151 - 400 - 151 to 400 litres
401 - 700 - 401 to 700 litres

You can also fill in Unit (for example litres or kW): it is shown next to the value on the product screen and on the card.

The two options of every filter

• Open by default: the filter group is already expanded when the catalogue loads.
• Show on the product card: the product's value for this filter is printed on its card under the photo. These are also the rows shown in the comparison table.

To change the name or the options later, edit them next to the filter and click Save.

Change the order

Use the up and down arrows (Move up, Move down) next to each filter. The order here is the order in the left column.

How filters combine for the visitor

• Entries inside one filter are combined with OR: ticking Cabinets and Counters shows both.
• Different filters are combined with AND: Range Cabinets plus Installation Freestanding shows only products that have both.
• A filter appears in the catalogue only if at least one product uses one of its entries.

Delete a filter

Click Delete this filter and all its entries under the filter and confirm. This cannot be undone. The products themselves are not deleted.
