Update the plugin
New versions of Google Drive Portal appear in WordPress like any other plugin update, in Dashboard > Updates and on the Plugins page. No licence is needed to receive updates.
How to update
- When a new version exists, WordPress shows a notice under Google Drive Portal in Plugins > Installed Plugins.
- Click View version details to read what changed, if you like.
- Click Update now.
You can also turn on Enable auto-updates on the plugin row, so WordPress installs new versions on its own.
Good to know
- The plugin checks for new versions at most once an hour, only in the admin.
- If our update server cannot be reached, nothing happens: no warning, no error. Try again later.
- Your settings, rules and Google key are kept during updates.
- You can also update by hand: download the new zip from the product page and upload it from Plugins > Add New Plugin > Upload Plugin, then choose Replace current with uploaded.
Updating from a version before 1.1.0? Since 1.1.0 the plugin folder is nopd-drive-portal. If WordPress shows Two copies of this plugin are installed, deactivate and delete the old copy (folder lr-drive-portal), then reload the page. This is safe: from version 1.1.1 the settings, the service account key and the licence have a backup copy and are restored automatically.
