Appearance and settings

The box Appearance and behaviour on the Drive Documents > Portal page controls which features are on, the portal colour and the messages users see. Change what you need, then click Save settings at the bottom of the page.

What visitors can do

Portal colour (Pro)

Pick a colour with the colour picker or one of the six ready swatches. A small preview shows the result. The colour is used for the title bar and the buttons. The default is a green (#047857).

Other settings

Setting	Default	What it does
Date format	d/m/Y H:i	How the "Modified" date is shown, in PHP date syntax. For example m/d/Y gives 09/29/2026.
Remember folder contents for (Pro)	300 seconds	How long folder lists are remembered before asking Google again (this is the cache). 0 disables the cache. Higher values mean fewer calls to Google but new files appear later. In the free version it is fixed at 300 seconds.
Largest file that can be downloaded	512 MB	Larger files are blocked. 0 removes the limit. See Downloads, previews and uploads.
Files asked from Google at a time	100	How many items are read from Google in one go (10 to 500). It is also the most search results shown.
Message for visitors who are not signed in	You need to sign in to view the private documents.	Shown instead of the portal to visitors who are not logged in. Leave empty to use the default.
Message for users with no folder	No document folder is linked to your account. Contact the project manager.	Shown to logged-in users who have no matching rule. Leave empty to use the default.

Dark theme and grid view (Pro)

These are chosen per page with the shortcode attributes theme and view. See Put the portal on a page. Users can also switch between list and grid with the buttons in the toolbar when Pro is active.

Fine-tuning with CSS

If you are comfortable with CSS (the code that styles web pages), you can adjust the portal in Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS, for example:

The portal already neutralises most theme styles inside its box, so usually nothing is needed.

Changing the portal template (developers)

A developer can replace the portal markup from the theme: copy templates/browser.php from the plugin folder to wp-content/themes/<your-theme>/nopd-drive-portal/browser.php and edit the copy. The old location <your-theme>/lr-drive-portal/browser.php still works; if both exist, the nopd-drive-portal one is used.
