The language switcher

Visitors change language with the switcher. Set it up in Translate > Switcher. You can use one, two or all three places.

Where it appears

• Floating button in a corner of every page: choose the corner.
• Add to the theme menu: a menu item with the current language and the others underneath, styled like the rest of the menu.
• Shortcode: put [nopd_translate] anywhere, in a widget, in the block editor (Shortcode block) or in Elementor and Divi.

How it looks

Languages can be shown with their name in the language itself (Deutsch, Français), with the code, or both. There are no flags on purpose: a flag is a country, not a language, and Spanish, English or Portuguese speakers come from many countries.

First visit

With Open the site in the visitor's browser language on, a first-time visitor whose browser is set to a language the site has gets that language. From then on the choice made with the switcher is remembered. Search engines are never redirected.
