Move a licence to another site

To use your licence on a different site, deactivate it on the old site first, then activate it on the new one. This frees one of the sites your plan covers.

1. Deactivate on the old site

1. On the old site, go to Dropbox Documents.
2. In the Licence box, click Deactivate on this site.
3. You see "Licence deactivated on this site. You can use it somewhere else." The old site goes back to the free version; the portal keeps working with the first rule.

2. Activate on the new site

1. Install Dropbox Portal on the new site (see Install the free version).
2. Go to Dropbox Documents, paste the key in Already have a licence key? and click Activate.
3. Connect Dropbox on the new site. The new site has a different Redirect URI: add it to your Dropbox app (see Create the Dropbox app and connect your account).

If something goes wrong

• "Licence removed from this site, but the server did not confirm: it may still be counted." The old site could not reach our server. Click Deactivate on this site again later, or contact us.
• You deleted the plugin on the old site instead of deactivating the licence. Deleting Dropbox Portal from the Plugins page frees the licence on our server by itself. If the old site could not reach our server at that moment, the licence may still be counted: write to us as explained below.
• The old site no longer exists (or you cannot log in to it). Write to webadmin@nopvideo.com with your licence key and the address of the old site, and we will free it for you.
• "The licence has reached the number of sites it covers." on the new site: the licence is still counted on another site. Deactivate it there first, or move to a larger plan on the pricing page.
