Activate your licence key

Paste your licence key in the Licence box at the top of the Dropbox Documents page and click Activate. The Pro features unlock immediately on that site.

Find your key

The licence key arrives by email right after payment. You can also find it at any time in your account, on the My licences page. It looks like NOPDB-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.

Activate it

1. In the WordPress admin, click Dropbox Documents in the left menu.
2. At the top of the page, in the Licence box, find the field Already have a licence key?
3. Paste the key. Copy it in full, with no spaces before or after.
4. Click Activate.

If the key is accepted you see "Licence activated: the Pro features are unlocked on this site." The box now shows Licence active on this site, with the plan name, the number of sites it covers and, for licences that renew, the renewal date. The badge at the top right of the page changes from Free to your plan name.

Two buttons appear in the box:

• Check now: asks the licence server for the current state (useful after a renewal or a plan change).
• Deactivate on this site: frees the licence so you can use it on another site. See Move a licence to another site.

Messages you may see

• "Key not recognised. Check that you copied it in full." A character is missing or extra. Copy the key again from the email or from My licences.
• "The licence has reached the number of sites it covers." The key is already active on as many sites as your plan allows. Deactivate it on a site you no longer use, or move to a larger plan.
• "The licence has expired." Renew it to use the Pro features again. The portal keeps working in the free version meanwhile.
• "The licence server cannot be reached". Your hosting could not contact our server. Try again later; if it persists, ask your hosting provider whether outgoing connections are blocked.
