The screen of a popup

Open a popup from Popup > All popups with Settings. Everything here works without JavaScript too; click Save the popup at the end.

Type

• Window in the centre: a modal window over a dimmed page. While it is open the page behind does not scroll and cannot be reached with the keyboard. Choose its width: small (400 px), medium (560 px) or large (780 px).
• Box sliding in from the side: a box at the bottom right or bottom left. The page stays usable.
• Bar at the top or bottom: a band across the page, for a short notice.

Name and title

The name is announced by screen readers when the popup opens. Tick Show the name as the title of the popup to show it, or start the content with your own heading.

Closing

Every popup has a close button with a label, and closes with Esc. A window in the centre can also close with a click outside it. In the content, a link to #nopd-popup-close closes the popup too: useful for a “No thanks”.
