Getting started

Folders puts the Media Library in folders. A tree appears beside the grid and the list; files are never moved on disk, so addresses never change.

1. Install the plugin

1. Download the Folders zip from My licences (or install it from the NOP Digital platform). Do not unzip it.
2. In WordPress go to Plugins > Add New Plugin, click Upload Plugin, choose the zip, Install Now, then Activate.

2. Create a folder

Open Media > Library. The tree is on the left, in grid and in list. Use the + button (or right-click) to create a folder; right-click also renames and deletes. Deleting a folder moves its files to Uncategorized and its subfolders up one level.

3. Move files

• Drag one file, or a selection, onto a folder. In list view you can also use the bulk action Move to folder.
• Drag folders to reorder them or nest them inside another.
• Keyboard: arrow keys move in the tree, F2 renames, Delete deletes.
