No, and we would rather say so in the first answer than in the small print. You open an account with Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Mistral or OpenRouter and pay them for what you use, at their prices, with no markup from us. It is cheaper this way and it means your messages are between you and them. On the smaller models a support question costs about a tenth of a cent, and the plugin lets you set a daily ceiling so the total is something you decide rather than discover.
Install the free version and press the button on the Licence page. For seven days everything is unlocked, with no card and no automatic renewal. At the end the site goes back to the free version: nothing is deleted, every document stays indexed and every setting stays where you put it. The trial runs once per site.
They stay uploaded, split and indexed. The assistant goes back to answering from the first five, and the panel says which ones are waiting. Nothing is deleted and nothing needs re-indexing, so you never pay twice for the same embeddings. The conversation history is trimmed to the free limits, and the retention promise your chat made to visitors is honoured, not extended.

It handles the part that belongs to the chat: the disclosure before the first message, the retention schedule, the privacy tooling and the list of who processes what. Two things stay with you, because they are decisions and not settings: signing a data processing agreement with the AI provider you chose, and saying in your privacy notice that this is happening. The compliance screen lists both rather than pretending they are handled, and no plugin that tells you otherwise is telling you the truth.
